Department
HEALTH, SAFETY & ENVIRONMENT (DKN)
Primary purpose of job
Participates in the implementation of the safety management program by providing a monitoring function in the assigned
area and ensures the safe working practices are being applied and maintained as per HSE policies, procedures and
regulations.
Closely monitors contractors activities and ensures that their equipment / machineries/tools are safe for use in operational
areas, ensures regular follow up at work sites to monitor their safety performance.
Monitors compliance with the Permit to work system.
Promotes HSE awareness at operational level through ongoing site safety awareness, conducts oral presentations,
orientation and familiarizations to employees, contractors and visitors on safety practices and procedures, accident
prevention techniques, accident reporting, permit to work, use of PPE and the dangers of hazardous substances and gases
such as H2S and any other necessary safety information about the jobs and tasks.
Experience & Skills
8 years of experience in safety environment with at least 5 years in oil and gas environment.
Education
Completion of secondary school education with 2 years in safety related courses or diploma.
